Most difficult thing EVER
What is more difficult than beating Nuclear Launch Detected and Sissy Boys at the same time with 60 Dp and a henchmen team?
Selling an unidentified rune of superior vigor.
Do some of you have suffered from the unbearable frustration of not being able to sell a good item/rune? I'm not by any means a farmer, but I recently found a gold armor that, salvaged, turned out to be an Unided rune of sup vigor. I already have it unlocked, so I said to myself, hey, let's sell it right away. While I know that there are some fellblades that go for over 500k, this rune is still a decent item to sell and is worth between 55 and 70k lately.
Too bad because many professional farmers/botters already have a sup vigor (or aren't interested in an unided one), so it's infinitely easier selling a weapon, a shield or a mod. Not to mention ectos or shards, you dont even have the time to write "wts" and you already got 5 offers. There's a specific pool of players in need of runes but most of the times the buyer won't meet the seller. Four-five players in Lion's Arch had opinions identical to mine, after they tried to spam wts for countless hours and only got whispers like "hey, does it help in sexual intercourse?" or "so, superior vigor means I'll make my girlfriend happier with this". Ventari's sell is not helping at all, probably that pool of potential buyers is elsewhere.
Is it only me or some supposedly Uber runes/items have become a pain to sell? It has been said before that this game needs an auction house: I don't agree with that, but certainly there are major problems when you're looking for a specific buyer/seller.
That, and the fact that rune traders are ruthless sharks.

Well all the people that have tons of money have it from farming or eBay or just crazy amounts of play time, and they all already have the rune unlocked surely. The people that don't have it generally don't have very much money and so they won't buy it. This will drive prices down on items that people want to sell off which is a very good thing.
I wish this could also happen with weapons. It's stupid to need >50k to get a decent max weapon. Luckily those collectors aren't so demanding.

well Unided runes are a hard thing to sell
mainly cause 90% of the players out there has no idea what unlocking an item does
the majority of the ones that do already have it unlocked
and the ones that dont proabably dont have the cash or will use pvp faction to unlock it.
also the market was flooded with Sup Vigors a few weeks ago i got like 7 in 3 days rune farming for Unided runes for Guild mates
contrary to popular belief sup Vigor is probabaly the least rare of the Superior Runes.
also might be a good idea to sell in tombs instead of la for Unided Runes better chance of finding you desired market there

I've seen people spamming the WTS thing on the trade channels and have talked to several trying to sell things and not being able to or getting ridiculously low offers. I know one person who was trying to sell black dye for 8k (at the time the trader was selling for a bit over 10k) and he couldn't get anyone to buy. The best offer he got was 6k. I don't know if it's just a matter of who happens to be around when you are and what district you're sitting in or what. Maybe an auction would be a better option instead of trying to sell IG?

Another thing to keep in mind is that some times are better than others for selling. I've had times when I couldn't give stuff away, then a few hours later I'm moving stuff left and right. If you know your price is a good one, then just be patient and the item will move.

Tried both things.
Selling in the Tomb is useless since, apparently, superior rune of vigor is the first rune unlocked by most of the people when they have enough faction.
Like many friends of mine, I tried to put up an auction in Ventari and other forums, to no avail.
See, the impression I get is that rune sellers have a very hard time in finding the right buyer, where "godly" weapons sellers don't.

I need it unlocking and i'm a rich farmer.
Add me up and send tell if you need to "dispose" of it.
As for selling them un-id'd, hmm, i prefer to sell them while still in their armour because they make more money at the merchant

I think this is a perfect example of why their needs to be an "Auction House" or some kind of CENTRAL trading hub/system. Out of all the people playing Guild Wars, there has to be a handful that would want to buy the OP's rune. So it now becomes his problem to find where those people are. The trading "system" (and I use that term VERY loosely) as it stands now gives him a very slim chance of ever finding those people who want to buy what he's selling. They have to be online, in the same district as him, and watching the fast-flowing spam in the trade/local channels. I truly hope ANet is working on this and has a better trading system ready to implement soon. This does need to be addressed.

Yes from what i have heard from guild mates that have "connection" there will never be a acution house in guild wars, but if one does come, you can slap a bumber sticker on me and call me a tow truck

Cue stupid question: How do you know which rune it is if you haven't ID'd yet? Is the trick salvaging the armor before identifying it?

Can I ask a stupid question? Some rich farmer wanna lend me some money?
no seriously you guys have it so easy and have no idea...
Anyway to the topic at hand Well I have major and minor runes all to the grand count of over 20 and NO ONE WANTS TO BUY! The rune trader is selling the ones I have for around 200g a piece but wanted to buy them from me at 25g so I have been spamming 50g for runes... NO ONE WANTS ONE! I even spammed a "FREE RUNES!" just to get rid of some cause I'm running out of room... no one wanted free runes either.

Sissy Boys and Nuclear Launch Detected Guild arent very hard to beat in HoH, guilds I have problems with is Zpzg, and Team Union, those guilds give me hard time. Sissy Boys and Nuclear Launch Detected have plenty of losses, I think they get lucky when they win, because they face guilds that are rated 1000+.

Selling Unid'd runes makes more sense from abuyers point of view but less from a sellers point of view. For example, if you need an unid'd major fast casting, you'd be happier to buy an unid'd mesmer major rune than purple or blue armor. And that armor might sell better if it was sold as a slavaged bu unid'd rune. But for a seller, while his gold armor is unsalvaged, it could be superior absorption whch sells at over 80 plat last time I checked.

I sell Vigors at the Rune trader, my spending money. Unid sell was to much work.
The rune trader sometimes offers nothing for it...I just keep it in my storage untill the price goes up again to about 40k at the trader, then I sell.
